this will be my last post on tumblr. i noticed that this will be my 203rd post. that seems like an arbitrary and random number, and at first i thought it was too. but then i realized that that’s the day i decided to give God control of my life last year, 2/03! so it’s actually very fitting, because that’s the reason i’m going to stop using tumblr. i’m actually still kind of amazed at how that worked out, because i didn’t plan for that to happen lol. but i’ve come to realize that things like tumblr really distract me from doing more important and meaningful things, things i should be doing instead. for me personally, spending time online leads to wasting my day away and wasting my mind away too. so the less time i spend on it, the better. not only that – there are a bunch of other reasons why it would be beneficial for me to stop. i want give God control of my entire life, and this is one concrete step i can take to go in that direction. so goodbye, adios, zaijian, annyeong! it’s time for me to move on.
on our way back to sf, we drove past a poster for the lorax movie. the girls had never read the book it’s based on, so i explained what it’s about. i was doing a terrible job explaining because i forgot a lot of it, so the girls ended up still not knowing much about it and with more questions than answers.

when i went home a few weekends ago and saw my brother jonathan again, i was SURE that he’d grown even taller than he was the last time i saw him, which was only a month before that!!! how does he get taller every single time i see him?! when will he stop growing??? i remember seeing his school picture when he was in 8th grade and thinking he was growing up, and now, as a sophomore in high school, he’s changed even more than that.
i’ve noticed that my little brother has a lot of interesting thoughts and ideas. he shared some of his musings with me a little while ago. one of them was: “you know how we have chairs for sitting and cups for drinking? do you ever wonder if we’re missing something else really obvious that would make life easier?” nope, can’t say that i’ve ever wondered that. but i like that he has. that lil’ jonnyfan… i miss that kid.

Sharon:Because bears are the best! They’re better than other animals, like gators.

we went over factorials! in class! today! math has never been so exciting!
if you will believe it, there’s a way you can see a 3D heart in this picture. last Friday at spring welcome night, the last challenge of the games we played was to decipher a magic eye picture. it was so crazy seeing it up on screen because i had JUST been telling lily about magic eye like TWO days before that. i taught myself how to see magic eye pictures a while ago, so i can see the hidden images. so when they showed the image on the screen i was like “ohhh myyy goshhhh.” but the sad part was, it was really hard to make out the image because it was on that big screen, so i couldn’t even really figure out what it was. oh well….. it’s funny how these things happen in life lol.
so much has been going on these past few weeks… wowww. i can tell that i need to brace myself for a lot to come this year. God is at work, yes yes yes.
